4th Annual Disabled Hockey Festival

The 4th USA Disabled Hockey National Festival will take place Friday, April 4, 2008 through Sunday, April 6, 2008 at the New England Sports Center 121 Donald Lynch Blvd.Marlborough, MA 01752, a five sheet facility. The Festival encompasses all 4 disciplines (Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Special Hockey, Sled Hockey and Standing/Amputee Hockey) of USA Hockey under one roof. The event is being coordinated through the efforts of USA Hockey Disabled Hockey Section and the Local Organizing Commitee in Massachusets. The games for the Festival begin on Friday April 4 2008 with opening ceremonis set for April 4, at 7 p.m.
In addition, it will be run in conjunction with the 2008 Sledge Hockey World Championships so the Festival participants, family and friends will be able to see the medal games. The Sledge Hockey World Championship will begin the week prior including two divisions with six or eight teams in the A division and four or six teams in the B Division.
The two events combined will have more disabled athletes than they do in the entire Winter Paralympics.
